Year One were impressed to discover that British litter pickers have become champions in the litter-picking World Cup in Japan. We had an interesting discussion about the importance of getting rid of waste correctly and recycling. The children took it in turns to be news presenters and share their knowledge with the class. We are all going to make sure that we get rid of our Christmas waste, wrapping paper and packaging responsibly.
“We don’t drop litter because it is not good for the animals and wildlife. They can get trapped or it can make them sick”
“We have different bins at home so we can recycle plastic in the brown bin”
“At Christmas, I will put the cardboard boxes in the blue bin”
