PALS and Earth Day

Children across the school have been celebrating Earth day today and have been learning about plastic pollution. The children have been getting creative with plastic and have also made information posters and leaflets. We are all eager to reduce the amount of single-use plastic that we use.

The Eco Council ran a competition to encourage everyone to become creative with plastic and other recyclable materials. This helped to raise awareness of reducing, reusing and recycling plastic and will also help us to work towards our silver award. Children made bug houses, bird feeders, pencil pots, wind chimes and lots of other fantastic creations out of ‘rubbish’.

The Eco Council were very impressed with all of the entries. There were lots of fantastic ideas and lots of hard work went in to the designs. Well done to everyone who entered the competition. Your hard work will be celebrated with an extra play on the trim trail and daily mile track! The Eco Council voted for the winning entries. Well done Jason and Ruby!
