Year Two had a wonderful afternoon making bug hotels in the sunshine yesterday.
We have been learning all about microhabitats and the kinds of places that minibeasts like to live. We tried really hard to make a nice home for the bugs with all the things that they like. We placed them in dark, shady, cool spots in the wooded copse at the bottom of the field. Using our magnifying glasses, we observed that some creatures had already moved into our bug habitats! We can’t wait to visit the hotels after half term and see which visitors are staying in our hotels!
